Spicy Potato Soup

1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4 cups water
4 Cups cubed peeled potatoes (1/2 inch cubes)
3 8oz cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp salt
1/2 to 1 tsp hot pepper sauce

In a Dutch oven or large kettle brown hamburger, drain. Add potaoes, onion and tomato sauce. Stir in water, salt, peppper & hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for l hour or until the potatoes are tender and the soup has thickened. Yield 6 - 8 servings (2 quarts).
