Magic Toffee Brittle

40 saltine crackers
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter (no substitute)
6 oz pkg chocolate chips (no substitute)
½ c. chopped pecans or almonds

Place layer of crackers on 11x16x1 foil lined pan. Boil butter & sugar for
3 minutes. Then pour over crackers. Bake @ 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until crackers float. Sprinkle chips over saltines; when melted, spread chocolate. Then sprinkle with nuts. When cool, cut into bars.

I just have to tell you... I was just trying to create a new blog with this name, but of course it is taken. We are actually doing it for the same purpose that you are. How fun. It looks like your family and friends enjoy it. I will need to find a new name, but am excited to see someone doing the same thing. :)
